Brazil promotes infrastructure investment via maritime standards and Pantanal event center

At the Centro-Oeste Export 2026 forum in Rio Verde, Jacqueline Wendpap, council member of Instituto Brasil Logística and executive director of Instituto Praticagem do Brasil, presented the role of the Pianc – the World Association of Waterway Transport Infrastructure – in shaping port and navigation engineering standards. She emphasized that international technical standards increase predictability for infrastructure investment and highlighted Pianc’s focus on sustainability, climate adaptation and decarbonisation, noting “No novo milênio, a Pianc busca mostrar como a engenharia e os estudos técnicos refletem na sustentabilidade”.

Meanwhile, the Centro de Eventos do Pantanal (CEP) announced its strategy to lure large international congresses to Mato Grosso. Represented at the 42nd COCAL Congress in Fortaleza, CEP officials showcased the venue’s modern facilities, the region’s ecological attractions and the economic multiplier effect of hosting such events, projecting that a single conference could stimulate dozens of local sectors ranging from hospitality to commerce.
