Brazil public servants mobilize for Bill PL 1893/26 approval
Public servants and union entities are conducting a mobilization campaign in Brasília and various states from August 10 to 13. The movement aims to secure the approval of the original text of Bill PL 1893/26 in the Chamber of Deputies.
Proposed in April, the bill seeks to regulate collective bargaining within the public sector. The text was developed by an interministerial working group involving the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, and union representatives. Proponents argue the regulation is essential to guarantee dialogue, respect for union entities, and improved conditions for agreements between workers and the government in accordance with international conventions.
