Brazil releases R$ 804 million in PIS/Pasep wage bonuses

The Brazilian Ministry of Labor and Employment has released a complementary batch of the PIS/Pasep wage bonus for the 2024 base year. This measure benefits 1,030,899 workers, injecting a total of R$ 804.24 million into the economy.

Of the total beneficiaries, 704,398 are private sector workers receiving PIS through Caixa Econômica Federal, while 326,501 are public servants receiving Pasep through Banco do Brasil. This additional batch includes workers whose employment data was transmitted or corrected via the eSocial system between September 1, 2025, and June 20, 2026.

Individual payments range from R$ 136 to R$ 1,621, calculated based on the 2026 minimum wage of R$ 1,621 and the number of months worked during the 2024 base year. To be eligible, workers must have been registered in PIS/Pasep for at least five years, worked at least 30 days in 2024, and earned an average monthly salary of up to R$ 2,766. Funds remain available for withdrawal until December 30, 2026.
