Brazil sees 135% surge in K-beauty sales

The Brazilian market has emerged as a major global driver for K-beauty, with sales of South Korean cosmetic products increasing by 135% in value over the last year. According to research from NIQ, Brazil is now one of the leading global exponents for the industry.

This surge follows a broader global trend where K-beauty grew by 131% over a two-year period. While Latin America shows a strong preference for Asian treatment products, the region's growth is outpacing Europe (58%), North America (53%), and Asia-Pacific (27%).

Key drivers for this growth include the popularity of Korean pop culture, such as K-pop and K-dramas, as well as the high-performance technology and innovation found in products like facial masks, acne patches, serums, and ampoules. Consumers are increasingly drawn to these products due to their perceived effectiveness and accessible pricing.
