Brazil sees full‑time remote work become rare as firms adopt hybrid or on‑site models

A Robert Half study of Brazilian employers shows that full‑time remote work has dropped to about 3% of job openings. Most companies now run hybrid schedules or require employees to be on‑site three to five days a week, depending on the industry.

Construction and engineering teams log the highest on‑site presence, averaging 4.8‑4.9 days per week, while the services sector records the lowest, around 3.3 days. The research notes that there is no sign of a reversal toward more remote work; full‑time home office is now an exception rather than a norm.

Vitor Silva, market director at Robert Half, says firms are seeking a balance between flexibility and operational needs, noting that overly flexible or overly rigid attendance policies can hurt productivity, response speed, or talent retention.
