Brazil sees rise in female leadership amid global decline
A Grant Thornton study indicates a global decline in female representation in high-level leadership positions, falling to 32.9% in 2026. At the current rate, gender parity in leadership roles is not expected to be achieved until 2051.
In contrast to the global trend, Brazil has seen an increase in female leadership participation, rising from 37% to 37.7%. This places the country in 12th position among analyzed nations, performing above the global average.
To address these trends, the ABRAVA Women's Committee is hosting the VII National Meeting of Women in the HVAC-R Sector in Rio de Janeiro. The event aims to expand female participation and representation within the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heating industry through networking and career development discussions.
