Brazil showcases photography and mosaic exhibitions in Porto Alegre and Bento Gonçalves
The Iguatemi shopping centre in Porto Alegre is hosting a photography exhibition by local artist Lisette Guerra titled “Mulheres, atrás da porta… retratos desarmados”. Running from 25 May to 25 June 2026 on the second floor, it displays unfiltered portraits of 20 women in intimate domestic settings. Guerra says, “My intention has always been to show the woman as she is,” and part of the proceeds will support the Asilo Padre Cacique.
Meanwhile, the Fundação Casa das Artes in Bento Gonçalves is presenting “Percorso – Tutto Mosaico”, a retrospective of mosaic artist Ana Alice Dalcin Zorzi. Open until 3 June 2026, the show is part of the 11th Semana da Cultura, Arte e Gastronomia Italiana and will later travel to the Museu Municipal Domingos Batistel in Nova Prata. Curated by Taiana Rossi, the exhibition traces two decades of Zorzi’s work with stone tiles, highlighting her role in preserving and promoting the mosaic tradition in the region.
