Brazil Supreme Court allows restricted visits for Jair Bolsonaro

Brazil's Supreme Federal Court has authorized the resumption of visits for former President Jair Bolsonaro during his house arrest. Justice Alexandre de Moraes ruled that Bolsonaro's sons, Carlos and Jair Renan, may visit him, provided the visits are not used for political or electoral purposes.

However, the court maintained a ban on visits from Senator Flávio Bolsonaro for an additional 90 days. This restriction follows a previous suspension of visitation rights after Flávio Bolsonaro shared a letter expressing political support for his father on social media.

Under the current ruling, Bolsonaro remains prohibited from using the internet or participating in political-electoral demonstrations, whether directly or through third parties. While medical professionals, lawyers, and physiotherapists may visit without prior authorization, other visitors remain subject to judicial approval.
