Jair Bolsonaro faces petition to lift house arrest after Flávio’s letter

The letter, titled “Carta aos brasileiros”, names Flávio as the ex‑president’s “porta‑voz” and urges supporters to set aside differences and back his pre‑presidential candidacy. Farias also seeks a R$ 100,000 fine against Flávio for “attacking the dignity of justice”. The PT has submitted a similar request, and the STF is expected to decide in the coming days whether the public reading constitutes a breach that warrants returning Bolsonaro to prison.
