Brazil targets illegal online betting, estimates 41‑51% market share

Brazilian authorities estimate that illegal betting platforms represent between 41% and 51% of the country's online gambling market, raising concerns about tax revenue loss, consumer protection and market integrity. Separately, the supplier Spribe is under investigation by the Federal District Prosecutor's Office for allegedly providing its popular "Aviator" crash game to unlicensed operators. Prosecutors have asked that Spribe's technical certification be suspended and have called for blocking of its digital infrastructure unless the company can prove compliance with anti‑money‑laundering and consumer‑protection rules. The probe highlights the tightening regulatory environment for iGaming suppliers in Brazil.
