Brazil tax reform triggers nationwide professional training initiatives

The implementation of Brazil's tax reform is driving large-scale educational efforts for businesses and accounting professionals. The project ‘Reforma Tributária pelo Brasil’, a joint initiative by Fenacon and the Federal Accounting Council (CFC), aims to conduct 41 regional events by December. These seminars are designed to provide technical training to over 10,000 professionals, addressing specific regional economic contexts ranging from agribusiness in the Center-West to the Manaus Free Trade Zone.

In the pharmaceutical sector, Sincofarma/SP is organizing a free online seminar on October 29 to address how the reform will impact pharmacies and drugstores. The session will focus on changes to price formation, tax invoice issuance, and financial management, specifically regarding the transition to the Goods and Services Tax (IBS) and the Contribution on Goods and Services (CBS).
