Brazil World Cup match prompts special store hours in Mossoró, Natal

Brazil’s round‑of‑16 World Cup game against Norway on 5 July 2026 at 17:00 BRT led local retailers in Rio Grande do Norte to adjust opening times so fans could watch the match.

In Mossoró, supermarkets and food‑goods retailers will operate from 07:00 to 16:00, while the Partage Mossoró market will run its stores and kiosks from 11:00 to 16:00. The food‑court area will stay open throughout the match, and normal schedules resume on Monday.

Natal’s Chamber of Shopkeepers announced similar reductions. Most street‑level shops, malls and supermarkets will close by 16:00, with optional reopenings after the game. Specific malls (e.g., Midway Mall, Natal Shopping, Partage Norte) have detailed hour plans, but all aim to let workers and consumers follow the national team’s match.
