Gramado Film Festival honors Naruna Costa and Maria Fernanda Cândido

At the 54th Gramado Film Festival, several prominent Brazilian actors received recognition. Naruna Costa won the Kikito for Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘Pele de Rinoceronte’. The film, directed by Marcello Ludwig Maia, is inspired by the 1976 murder of Ângela Diniz and features Costa as a lawyer confronting the ‘defense of honor’ logic in cases of gender-based violence.

In the same festival, Maria Fernanda Cândido was honored with the Kikito de Cristal. Her recognition follows her work in ‘O Agente Secreto’, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, a film noted for its engagement with contemporary social issues.

Other notable mentions from the festival include the film ‘Nosso Segredo’, directed by Grace Passô, which was named Best Film.
