Brazilian agribusiness companies receive industry awards

Usina Jacarezinho, part of Grupo Maringá, has been honored in the Diversity Valorization category at the 19th MasterCana Centro-Sul & Social 2026 Awards. The recognition stems from the project ‘Entre o Colo e a Carreira: Acolhimento à Lactação e ao Retorno da Licença-Maternidade’, which provides specialized infrastructure for breastfeeding support and assistance for employees returning from maternity leave.

The initiative includes a dedicated breastfeeding support room equipped with private amenities, refrigeration, and hygiene products to ensure safe milk storage and collection. The program also features welcoming gestures for employees returning to work after their 180-day leave to facilitate the transition between professional and maternal responsibilities.

Separately, the cooperative Copagril received the Destaque Mercedes 2026 Award in the Agricultural Inputs category. Organized by the Associação Comercial e Empresarial de Mercedes (ACIM), the award recognizes excellence in various business segments within the municipality of Mercedes, highlighting Copagril’s role in providing technical assistance and quality inputs to producers.
