Bonito, Brazil gains three weekly LATAM flights to São Paulo
From 25 October, LATAM Airlines will operate three direct flights per week between Bonito (BYO) and São Paulo‑Guarulhos (GRU), scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The new service adds to the existing schedules of GOL (Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday) and Azul (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday), increasing the municipality’s connectivity with major Brazilian hubs.
Local officials said the expansion supports Bonito’s growing ecotourism sector. Passenger traffic at the regional airport rose 35% in 2025, reaching 68,539 travelers, up from 50,932 the previous year. Since LATAM launched its Bonito‑Guarulhos route in 2025, over 8,000 passengers have used the service between September and December, underscoring demand for direct access to the country’s main air hub. The additional flights are expected to create jobs, boost income and strengthen the tourism supply chain in the Mato Grosso do Sul municipality.
