Brazilian airlines launch seasonal direct routes for 2026 World Cup

GOL Linhas Aéreas has resumed nonstop seasonal service between Manaus (MAO) and Miami (MIA) with two weekly flights operating from 18 June to 9 August 2026. The Boeing 737 MAX aircraft carry 176 passengers on departures from Manaus on Mondays and Fridays (12:50 local) and returns from Miami on Thursdays and Sundays (20:30 local), timed for the winter school holidays that coincide with the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Azul is also reinstating direct flights from Belo Horizonte (BH) to Curaçao, beginning 1 July 2026. Initially two weekly Airbus A320 services will run, expanding to four weekly flights from 10 July, with departures at 15:30 and arrivals at 20:40, and return flights leaving Curaçao at 22:20 and landing in Belo Horizonte at 05:20. The route avoids U.S. connections and aims to position BH Airport as an international hub for World Cup travelers.

Both airlines are adding these routes to capture demand generated by the upcoming tournament and to boost tourism links between Brazil, the United States and the Caribbean.
