Brazilian authorities investigate two separate teenage sexual abuse cases

Police in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso are searching for a 45‑year‑old man suspected of raping his 13‑year‑old daughter in Arenápolis. The investigation began after the victim’s relatives reported the abuse, which authorities say occurred repeatedly since the girl was 11. The suspect fled before officers could locate him.

In the Amazon state, a 33‑year‑old man was arrested on a preventive detention order for allegedly raping his 13‑year‑old stepdaughter in São Paulo de Olivença. The victim testified that the abuse had continued for about two years, with the latest incident reported in January 2025. The suspect was taken into custody and faces charges of rape of a vulnerable minor with an aggravating factor of domestic violence.
