Brazil election activities: police scrutiny in Recife and regional campaign conclusions

As Brazil approaches elections, various political activities and controversies have emerged across different regions. In Recife, videos have surfaced showing Military Police conducting approaches focused on voters wearing yellow, a color associated with candidate João Campos. This follows allegations from the Frente Popular regarding the ‘Saturação’ operation, which concentrates police presence near voting sites. The Regional Electoral Court (TRE) had previously instructed security forces to avoid inspections or blockades that might inhibit the free movement of voters.

In Alagoas, candidate Renan Filho cast his vote in Maceió, expressing confidence in a first-round victory.

In São Paulo, several candidates concluded their campaigns with public mobilizations. In São Bernardo do Campo, Ivan Silva, Fran Silva, and Julinho Fuzari held final campaign acts, supported by local leaders like Mayor Marcelo Lima. Meanwhile, in Ribeirão Pires, Mayor Guto Volpi and candidate Clovis Volpi expressed confidence in their electoral prospects and the performance of Governor Tarcísio de Freitas.

In Sergipe, federal deputy Gustinho Ribeiro and state deputy candidate Hilda Ribeiro held large campaign walks in Estância and Lagarto to conclude their electoral agendas.
