Brazilian Catholic Church holds social action forums in Florianópolis, Brasília

On July 30, 2026 the Archdiocese of Florianópolis hosted its second Forum of Pastorals, Entities and Social Actions. The gathering brought together pastoral leaders and social‑action representatives to discuss the apostolic exhortation *Dilexit Te* of Pope Leo XIV, the new Brazilian Evangelization Guidelines, and the archdiocese’s pastoral plan, while reviewing recent social‑action survey results.

From August 5‑7, 2026 the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) will hold the CEPAST Forum in Brasília at the Casa Dom Luciano Mendes de Almeida. Under the theme “My ecclesial community transforms the world,” the three‑day event will unite pastoral networks, social‑action groups and church‑wide partners to deepen the Church’s sociotransformative mission, again drawing on the new evangelization directives and biblical inspiration.
