Paraná Assembly launches free digital inclusion course for seniors
The Escola do Legislativo, in partnership with the state’s technology agency Celepar and the Sindilegis union, offered a three‑day free digital‑inclusion program for people aged 60 and over from 22 to 24 July. Held in the plenary of the Assembleia Legislativa of Paraná, the course taught basic smartphone functions, app installation, safe internet navigation, social‑media use and an introduction to artificial‑intelligence tools. Director Jeulliano Pedroso highlighted the aim of increasing participants’ autonomy, protecting them from online scams and enabling access to public‑service platforms such as gov.br. The initiative responds to a long‑standing demand from retired public‑servants and demonstrates the state’s commitment to continual digital‑skill training for vulnerable seniors.
