Brazilian consumer watchdogs reveal fuel price gaps in Goiânia and Joinville
Procon Goiás surveyed 49 fuel stations in Goiânia between May 21‑23, finding price differences of up to 18.8% for ethanol (R$ 3.99‑4.74 per litre), R$ 6.53‑6.94 for gasoline and R$ 5.99‑6.99 for diesel S‑10. The cheapest outlets were identified as Posto Show 5 Avenida for ethanol (R$ 3.99), Aero Sete Auto Posto for gasoline (R$ 6.39) and Posto Le Mans for diesel (R$ 5.99). Procon Joinville released its June survey of 101 stations, showing overall fuel price declines except for premium gasoline and GNV. Gasoline common fell 6.58% to an average of R$ 6.10 (range R$ 5.99‑6.39), ethanol dropped 3.66% to R$ 4.48 (R$ 4.23‑4.99), and diesel decreased 1.53% to R$ 7.06 (R$ 6.29‑7.89). Premium gasoline rose 1.16% to R$ 8.69 and GNV increased 0.21% to R$ 4.68. The same Procon also tracked LPG cylinder prices, noting minor adjustments in both 13 kg and P45 packages.
