Brazilian dioceses of Barra do Garças and Caxias do Sul ordain new deacons

Radamés Guarienti Sippert was ordained a deacon on 27 June in the Diocese of Barra do Garças, Brazil. The ceremony took place at the Parish of São Sebastião in Cocalinho and was attended by clergy, family and members of the faithful. Sippert, a native of Canarana, will continue his ministry in that parish.

Stefano Fagundes Petroli, 27, was ordained a deacon on 5 July in the Diocese of Caxias do Sul, Brazil. Bishop Dom José Gislon performed the ordination at the Parish of São João Batista in Nova Prata. Petroli, originally from Bento Gonçalves, will serve at the Nova Prata parish and also at Santo Antônio do Maragata. He is scheduled to be ordained a priest on 22 November.
