Brasília's 'Constelações Contemporâneas' Art Exhibition Opens at Teatro Nacional

The "Constelações Contemporâneas da Cena Artística de Brasília" exhibition runs from 19 May to 17 July 2026 in the foyer of the Sala Villa‑Lobos at the Teatro Nacional Claudio Santoro. Featuring more than 200 works by 41 Brasília‑based artists, the show explores themes of territory, memory, landscape and ancestry. Curated by Mônica Tachotte and promoted by Metrópoles Arte with support from the Distrito Federal Tourism Secretariat, entry is free and daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Influencer and cultural curator Mônica Freitas led a guided tour on 24 July, welcoming about 80 guests and highlighting eight artists whose work addresses the city’s urban planning and natural environment. The exhibition follows the successful "É Pau, É Pedra…" show that displayed over 200 works by Sergio Camargo earlier in the year.
