Brazilian fashion industry focuses on sustainability and retail evolution

The Brazilian fashion industry is focusing on structural transformations involving sustainability, retail shifts, and labor relations. During the São Paulo Climate Week 2026, ONA Global Consulting participated in discussions regarding the 'Lifestyle for Climate' panel, emphasizing that sustainable transition must encompass the entire productive chain—from raw material sourcing like cotton and leather to industrial efficiency and circularity.

Daniel Calarco, CEO of ONA Global Consulting, noted that fashion integrates agriculture, technology, and culture, offering potential for green job creation and strengthening Brazil’s global position.

Additionally, the Movimento Moda 2026 event is scheduled for October 1 in Caxias do Sul. Organized by Fitemavest and the Fashion Committee, the event will address trend velocity, changing consumer behavior, and generational dynamics in the workplace.
