Brazilian federal universities UFPE and UFCG add 465 Sisu+ 2026 seats
The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) announced 307 complementary vacancies for the 2026 Sisu+ program. The seats are spread across its Recife campus (64 spots in several engineering fields), the Agreste campus in Caruaru (68 spots, mainly civil and production engineering) and the Sertão campus in Sertânia (175 spots covering renewable energy, water resources, public management, history and other courses). All positions follow Brazil’s quota law, reserving at least 50 % for public‑school students and additional seats for Black, Indigenous, quilombola and disabled candidates.
The Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) will offer 158 leftover seats in the same Sisu+ stage. The vacancies are allocated to five programmes at its Campina Grande and Pombal campuses: Communication Social (4), Agronomy (40), Environmental Engineering (44), Civil Engineering (37) and Food Engineering (33). Of the total, 77 seats are open competition and 81 are reserved under the quota system. Candidates must have taken part in the regular Sisu 2026 round, scored at least 400 ENEM points and not enrolled elsewhere. Applications open 15‑19 June on the official Sisu portal.
