Brazilian fire services launch hiring for 150 temporary brigades in Mato Grosso and 342 public positions in Minas Gerais

The Military Firefighters Corps of Mato Grosso (CBMMT) opened 150 temporary brigade positions to reinforce forest‑fire prevention during the dry season. Applicants must be aged 18‑50, literate and possess basic agricultural tool skills; a Category D or E driver’s licence adds points. Contracts run for four months with a salary of R$ 2.6 thousand plus statutory benefits. Vacancies cover 29 municipalities, including Cuiabá, Poconé and Alta Floresta. Registration is free, in‑person and runs until 20 June.

In Minas Gerais, the Military Firefighters Corps (CBMMG) extended its public‑service exam deadline to 24 June for 342 slots: 321 soldiers and 21 officers. Candidates need a university degree, be under 30 years old and hold a Category B licence. Formation salaries are R$ 4 562.30 for soldiers and R$ 7 506.80 for officers. Exams are set for 19 July (officers) and 26 July (soldiers), followed by physical, medical and psychological tests. Successful recruits will begin service in 2027.
