Brazilian firms boost presence in African markets
The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) has coordinated a series of initiatives to expand Brazilian commercial activity across Southern Africa. Market studies identified 581 export opportunities for Brazilian companies in sectors ranging from food and beverages to agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, chemicals, medicines, construction materials and infrastructure solutions. The agency aims to move Brazilian exports beyond commodities toward higher‑value products.
ApexBrasil organised a large delegation to the International Fair of Luanda (FILDA) in Angola and is preparing a mission to the International Fair of Maputo (FACIM) in Mozambique, scheduled for August‑September 2026, where Brazil will be the honored country. South Africa is highlighted as a primary gateway for regional distribution, offering a gateway to other Southern African economies.
