Brazil-Africa trade and investment expansion

Overview

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) has initiated efforts to expand Brazilian commercial activity and diversify exports toward higher-value products across Southern Africa.

Following market studies that identified hundreds of export opportunities in sectors such as food, beverages, machinery, and infrastructure, ApexBrasil coordinated a delegation to the International Fair of Luanda in Angola. This was followed by a formal business mission from late August to early September 2026, conducted in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The mission included seminars and networking in South Africa, Zambia, and Mozambique, where Brazil served as the Country of Honor at the Maputo International Fair (FACIM). The initiative concluded with the inauguration of a new ApexBrasil international office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to provide commercial intelligence and institutional support for Brazilian enterprises.
