Brazilian football clubs implement SAF structural changes
Brazilian football clubs are undergoing structural and financial reorganizations through the SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol) model.
América Futebol Clube has announced that Vitor Arteiro, previously serving as CEO since October 2024, will transition to the role of Financial Director. This move is part of an internal reorganization aimed at economic planning and financial sustainability. The club has recently focused on infrastructure improvements, including a new hotel for athletes at the CT Abílio Medeiros and upgrades to medical and performance facilities.
Meanwhile, Comercial Futebol Clube in São Paulo is moving forward with a R$ 300 million SAF project involving Alliance Football, which intends to acquire 90% of the club. A priority for the new management under businessman Eliel Fraga is the renovation of the Doutor Francisco de Palma Travassos stadium, specifically focusing on upgrading the lighting system to meet modern standards for night matches. The club is currently undergoing a due diligence process to finalize the investment agreements.
