Brazilian governors promote modernized one‑stop public service centers

Tocantins Governor Wanderlei Barbosa visited the PronTO unit in Araguaína, describing it as a new model that gathers dozens of public services under one roof. The center, opened in November 2025, logged 92,255 attendances and 76,706 visits between January and June 2026, serving 800‑900 users daily. It offers more than 500 services from 18 agencies across about 62 counters, with features such as the “Sala Azul” for neuro‑divergent children and a blood‑donation station.

Amazonas Governor Roberto Cidade led the 42nd edition of the Programa Governo Presente in Itacoatiara, 176 km from Manaus, bringing together over 20 state agencies to provide free health, citizenship, social assistance, entrepreneurship and credit services. The action delivered 2,000 food baskets, medical equipment and resources, offered 260 medical consultations, 100 tomography slots (over 900 procedures) and a mobile health unit, as well as issuing IDs, menstrual products, wheelchair deliveries, and castrating 70 animals. Cidade said, “Since I took office, I understood that the actions of Governo Presente needed to leave the capital.”
