Brazilian hospitals receive high compliance certifications for patient safety
Several Brazilian hospitals have received high compliance certifications following the National Patient Safety Practices Assessment.
The Hospital Municipal de Aparecida de Goiânia Iris Rezende Machado (HMAP) achieved 100% compliance in the assessment promoted by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa). Out of 1,626 hospitals participating nationally, 143 reached this maximum index. In the state of Goiás, HMAP was one of only eight units to achieve 100% compliance.
Additionally, the Alberto Urquiza Wanderley Hospital, a high-complexity unit of Unimed João Pessoa, received a “High Compliance” certificate from the Paraíba State Health Surveillance Agency (Agevisa). This recognition pertains to patient safety practices within Intensive Care Units (ICU) and marks the fifth consecutive year the hospital has received this certification.
