Brazilian Housing Initiatives Grant Homes to Families in Juiz de Fora and Santa Rita do Novo Destino

The federal Compra Assistida program, part of Minha Casa, Minha Vida, awarded 51 families in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, up to R$200,000 each to buy a new home, bringing the total number of beneficiaries in the city to 466. Families from 18 neighborhoods, including Retiro and Parque Burnier, received assistance through Caixa Econômica Federal and municipal support.

In Santa Rita do Novo Destino, Goiás, the state-run Casas a Custo Zero initiative handed over keys to 36 families, providing free, ready‑to‑move‑in houses built with an investment of more than R$7 million. Governor Daniel Vilela said, "There is no more rewarding moment than delivering a house," highlighting the program's impact on vulnerable households.
