Brazilian municipalities acquire new vehicles for patient and elderly transport
Municipalities in Brazil have acquired new vehicles to improve specialized transport services for patients and the elderly.
In Piên, the Health Secretariat received two new Ford Transit vans to facilitate the transport of residents requiring medical consultations, exams, and other procedures outside the municipality. The investment for each vehicle is R$ 317,000, funded through a combination of federal, state, and municipal resources.
In Sorriso, the Lar Bem Viver institution, managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance, received an adapted 15-seat van designed for accessibility. The R$ 390,000 vehicle was funded by the Public Ministry of the State of Mato Grosso (MPE-MT) and is intended to assist elderly residents with medical appointments and leisure activities.
