Várzea Grande health services reach Umuarama community

The Municipal Health Secretariat of Várzea Grande, in partnership with the Municipal Social Assistance Secretariat, conducted a community outreach action in the Umuarama community, located in the Sadia 3 region. The initiative aimed to bring essential services closer to residents to facilitate access and ensure basic care updates.

During the event, more than 390 services were provided, including medical and nursing consultations for adults, children, and the elderly. Health services included rapid testing for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis, as well as blood glucose testing and blood pressure monitoring. Additionally, over 120 vaccine doses were administered, with influenza being the most requested.

Social assistance and dental services were also available, with dental professionals providing oral health guidance and distributing hygiene kits. Technical lead Lucimar Barbosa noted that the action is vital for those with mobility difficulties, while acting health secretary Michael Alves emphasized that such initiatives strengthen primary care by allowing the administration to identify community needs directly.
