Brazilian Municipalities Launch Youth Programs in Araras and Olinda
The Araras City Hall in São Paulo state issued Decree No. 8.051 on July 23, 2026 to create the "Agenda Jovem" program, targeting residents aged 15‑29. The initiative consolidates activities at the Casa da Juventude “Guilherme Perissato” and focuses on youth protagonism, technological innovation, professional training, cultural participation and citizenship.
In Olinda, Pernambuco, the municipal education secretariat activated the CADEJA (Cadastro e Diagnóstico da Educação de Jovens e Adultos) platform, allowing applicants to request spots in the Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) system online. The tool maps real‑time demand by neighbourhood, lets users choose preferred schools and provides in‑person support for those without internet access. Both programs aim to expand educational and professional opportunities for young people in their respective municipalities.
