Brazilian Municipalities Resume Critical Road Repairs

The municipality of Ilhéus completed work on critical sections of the Sapucaeira road in the Olivença district, restoring access for public transport, school buses and agricultural shipments. In Rio Grande do Sul, work on the ERS‑347 highway between Segredo and Lagoão resumed in Serrinha do Pinhal after a pause that began in March. The state government pledged to transfer 2 million reais per month to the contractor, and mayor Nélio Fornari emphasized that the paving, a 40‑year‑old demand, will boost local commerce and create jobs.
