Interpol-supported operation arrests suspects in international child abuse content ring
An international investigation, supported by Interpol, has targeted a global group involved in the sale of child sexual abuse content. The operation has led to the arrest of a pastor and a programmer in São José do Rio Preto and Santa Fé do Sul, Brazil.
Authorities estimate that the criminal network includes more than 250 individuals operating across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. The group reportedly traded digital content for amounts reaching up to R$ 100,000. To identify regional targets, investigators analyzed approximately 60 GB of digital files.
In addition to the primary arrests, a prison warden in Votuporanga is among those being investigated in connection with the operation. The suspects face charges related to crimes against sexual dignity and child abuse.
