Brazilian Senate hopefuls Marília Arraes and Eliziane Gama win local endorsements

Senate pre‑candidate Marília Arraes visited Jaboatão dos Guararapes in Pernambuco, where she was joined by gubernatorial candidate João Campos at the Mercado das Mangueiras. Several city councillors—including Márcio do Curado, Melque Almeida, Eládio Rangel and Henrique Metalúrgico—publicly backed her, citing the city’s strategic importance for the region of Recife. Arraes later attended a ceremony in São Bento do Una to receive the title of citizen and plans to tour ten more municipalities in the Agreste and Sertão.

In Maranhão, mayor Rildo Amaral of Imperatriz announced his support for incumbent senator Eliziane Gama, praising her long‑standing partnership with the city and commitment to local development. The endorsement was made during a meeting at the municipal social office and is expected to strengthen Gama’s profile across the Tocantins region.
