Brazilian Senate launches TV 3.0 platform at legislative broadcasters summit
The Senate unveiled its new TV 3.0 platform during the first day of the Legislative Radio and TV Network 2026 meeting in the Chamber of Deputies in Brasília (June 10‑12). The system will integrate TV Senado, TV Câmara and TV Brasil, merging open‑air channels and streaming services into a single device.
A live demonstration was followed by a technical panel that discussed the platform’s governance, AI‑driven programming, and the challenges of technology, editorial policies and budgeting. Glauciene Lara, the Senate’s communication chief, highlighted the role of the platform in strengthening civic participation ahead of upcoming elections and noted the network’s 4 million‑plus views in the 2022 elections.
The event gathered representatives from municipal chambers and state legislative assemblies across Brazil and received support from the Ministry of Communications, Anatel, the Empresa Brasil de Comunicação, the non‑governmental EAD and the Association of Legislative TV and Radio (Astral).
