Brazilian startup Teia Studio reaches Web Summit Rio finals with AI audit platform
Brazilian startup Teia Studio was selected as a finalist in the PITCH Competition of Web Summit Rio 2026, chosen from more than 1,300 applicants. The company developed Teia GEO IGO, the first platform that monitors and audits in real time what major generative AI models say about brands, institutions and services.
In a pilot run from 9 March to 7 April 2026, Teia Studio audited four real‑world brands across different sectors, focusing on public‑health queries and interrogating four AI models – ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity – in weekly cycles. The analysis of 640 interactions uncovered 58 hallucinations, 18 of them classified as high‑severity, and a 1,250 % surge in hallucinations from the first to the second week. Perplexity was responsible for 83 % of the severe cases. Only 44 % of AI replies referenced the queried brand, and one‑third of the answers were contradictory.
“The market of GEO already arranges brand visibility in AIs, but until now no one checks in real time what AIs are saying,” said José Vásquez, founder and CDAO of Teia Studio. The platform provides dashboards, proprietary KAPIs and a patented IGO methodology to guide corrective actions.
