Brazilian states initiate school enrollment processes for 2027

Municipal and state educational authorities in Brazil have begun enrollment and re-enrollment procedures for the 2027 school year.

In Cambé, the Municipal Secretariat of Education and Culture has opened registration for early childhood education, elementary school, and Adult Education (EJA). The process, which began on October 7, is scheduled to conclude by November 13. Parents are required to submit documentation including birth certificates, identification, proof of residence, and vaccination records.

In Rio de Janeiro, the state government has launched the renewal period for students wishing to remain in their current school, course, and shift. This process is conducted online via the ‘Matrícula Fácil’ website, though in-person assistance is available at local schools. Requests to change courses or shifts will open on November 4, subject to vacancy availability. New student pre-enrollment is scheduled to run from November 12 to December 4, with placement determined by criteria such as disability status, age, and proximity to residence.
