Brazilian Towns Guarapari and Guanambi Finish Major Road Paving Works
The municipality of Guarapari in Espírito Santo inaugurated a new paved road in the Vila Buback community of Reta Grande, ending long‑standing problems with mud in the rainy season and dust in dry periods. Mayor Rodrigo Borges highlighted the project as part of a broader effort to improve mobility, safety and accessibility for residents. Local resident Rafael Butzke praised the work, calling it a long‑awaited dream for the community, while councilor Anselmo Bigossi noted the significant improvement in daily life.
In the city of Guanambi, Bahia, the municipal government began asphalt works on 1.45 km of avenues linking the Boa Vista neighbourhood to the industrial district, the BNH, and major highways BR‑030 and BA‑573. The project, funded with about R$ 1.7 million, uses a double‑surface treatment (TSD). Infrastructure secretary Dalmo Viana said the works are part of a larger program that includes paving several other avenues across the municipality, aiming to create new routes for residents, industrial traffic and access to health facilities.
