Brazilian towns launch new low‑cost housing projects in Segredo and Londrina

The municipality of Segredo received approval to build 20 homes under the federal Minha Casa, Minha Vida program. The local government purchased a one‑hectare site for R$200,000, secured a federal grant of about R$2.8 million and will invest more than R$700,000 in infrastructure. Construction is set to begin following a work order issued on 16 June, with the winning contractor ready to start.

In Londrina, the state government, Caixa Econômica Federal and builder Yticon delivered the Solar di Siena residential complex, comprising 240 apartments. The project, funded with nearly R$59 million total and a R$4.4 million state subsidy, provides 218 families with down‑payment assistance through the Casa Fácil Paraná program, plus additional support for two senior households. Units are priced from R$245 000 and include amenities such as a pool, gym and commercial space.
