Brazilian towns launch regional food festivals
Araguaína in northern Brazil will hold its first Gastronomic Festival from September 25‑27 at the city's Convention Center. The municipal event features national music acts Biquini Cavadão and the duo Anavitória and is built around a “Churrasco” theme that highlights local meat‑based cuisine and cultural identity.
In Barão de Cocais, the Festa da Quitanda and Festival da Goiabada took place on May 2‑3, drawing residents and visitors to celebrate regional produce, family farming and local culture. Organized by the Association of Family Agriculture, Quitandeiras and Sweet Makers and sponsored by Vale, the festival offered market stalls, culinary competitions and other activities.
