Brazil's Ministry of Health postpones launch of mobile diagnostic imaging unit
The Ministry of Health delayed the start of operations for a mobile diagnostic imaging unit that was slated to begin service on Friday, 24 July. The unit will now open the following week, with a new start date to be announced. Services are limited to patients already registered in the Unified Health System (SUS) and will be scheduled by the central regulation office; walk‑in appointments are not available. Patients are instructed to update their registration details, especially telephone numbers, at their local Family Health Unit to ensure they can be contacted for appointment confirmation. The postponement applies nationwide to the municipal health programs that use the mobile unit for CT scans and ultrasounds.
