Brazilian universities launch teacher training for science fair and postgraduate innovation awards

The University of Santa Cruz do Sul (Unisc) announced that registration for its free, online 48‑hour teacher training course closes on Thursday, 16 July. The course, required for teachers who wish to submit projects to the 2026 Science Fair – Innovation and Sustainability, runs until 12 August and prepares educators in research methods, scientific writing and project submission. The initiative is part of Unisc’s National Week of Science and Technology and receives support from CNPq and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Separately, the Novo Hamburgo Feevale Summit 2026 will host the Startup Postgraduate challenge on 27‑28 August. Open to postgraduate students from Feevale and other institutions, the two‑day event offers free registration, agile methodology workshops, mentorship and connections with real‑world company demands. The three top projects will win free qualification courses and pre‑incubation passports at Feevale Techpark. The awards ceremony will take place during the Summit, scheduled for 15‑17 September, with backing from local government, industry partners and Sebrae‑RS.
