Brazilian university outreach workshops engage children and high‑school students

The Institute of Psychology at the Federal University of Uberlândia launched a 60‑hour extension project coordinated by Sybele Macedo. Starting 1 September 2026, extension students will plan and run workshops for children and their families in the institute’s toy library, after mapping local cultural and educational resources.

At the University of São Paulo’s Ribeirão Preto campus, the "Sementes do Conhecimento" program held a week‑long immersion from 13 to 17 July 2026. Forty high‑school students from public and private schools participated in labs, practical workshops and lectures on health topics such as parasitic diseases, CPR, and anatomy, supported by faculty from three campus units and thirty undergraduate monitors.
