Brazilian youth parliament groups present proposals to municipal and state officials

In Três Lagoas, members of the local Programme Parliament Youth met with Mayor Dr. Cassiano Maia on July 27. The young delegates presented ideas on culture, school transport, a professional fair and a large hip‑hop week event, seeking greater youth involvement in municipal management.

In Rio de Janeiro, 64 adolescents from the Committee of Participation of Adolescents toured the historic Palácio Tiradentes on the same day. The guided visit, organized by the state Assembly and the Council of Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights, highlighted the legislative building’s role in public‑policy formation and reinforced the importance of youth voices in state‑level decision‑making.
