Brazil's 2026 School Sports Events Mobilize Thousands in Feira de Santana and Itajaí

The Jespe Análise 2026 school sports games began on Saturday, 1 July, in Feira de Santana, Bahia. The eighth edition brings together about 2,500 athletes aged 6‑17 from 33 local schools to compete in handball, volleyball, basketball, futsal, table tennis and chess. The opening ceremony at the SESI Sports Center includes a parade, cultural performances and a food‑donation drive for a local charity, with the competition running until 27 September and a prize ceremony on 28 September.

In Itajaí, Santa Catarina, the Jorme 2026 municipal school games held the handball stage from 21‑24 July, attracting more than 1,000 students from 25 schools. The tournament featured both boys and girls in the mirim and infantil categories, with several schools earning podium spots. The next phase of Jorme will feature basketball competitions in September.
