Brazil's ANP launches app to show fuel quality and station inspections

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) in Brazil has released a free mobile application called “ANP com VC – Postos”. The app lets drivers view fuel‑quality scores (0 to 5) for any fuel station, based on the agency’s five‑year inspection history and the Programa de Monitoramento da Qualidade dos Combustíveis (PMQC). Each station is displayed on a map with a colour‑coded rating from red (poor) to green (excellent) and includes details such as address, CNPJ, fuel types offered, the distributor supplying the fuel and the status of its operating licence.

Users can search by location or by station CNPJ and can file complaints directly through the app, reporting suspected price abuse or fuel‑quality irregularities. The tool is accessed via a web address rather than traditional app stores, aiming to increase transparency and help consumers avoid adulterated gasoline or other problems at the pump.
